In 1982, born in France, and raised in Nagoya and Tokyo as the eldest of four sisters.
With the influence of her mother who used to organize art salons at home, Yumi got used to the techniques for tole painting, rug-hooking and more in her elementary school time.
In 2010-2012, Yumi lived in Paris. During that time, she was working for a French travel agency by day and spending evening at the atelier in Rue Saint-honoré to make haute-couture accessories. It was challenging but also quite happily fulfilling for her, being a creative person at heart.
In April 2019: Solo exhibition at Atelier485 - exposed photos, paintings and a variety of accessories using local materials and stones, designed from inspiration of her earthly journeys.
In December 2020: Group exhibition at Atelier 485 - created fragments from her various journeys, using colorful yarns like painting combined with semi-precious stones to transform them into lucky charms. “Weave the journey”
